Fun indeed! I love the background and the stripes that you included - makes a nice design and composition. The bird looks just fantastic drinking it's martini - he looks like is swilling a big gulp being all puffy!
ReplyDeleteYes, Pattie, he's full of martini, so he's got a full belly. This painting is comical to me on so many levels. Today I'm going to do a caricature type one, just to let loose and make it easy for myself. Thanks for your comments!
DeleteThe bird had an accident! karen - i LOVE it. i can picture you thinking/writing/giggling about that and I love it.
ReplyDeleteYes, once everything started going wrong as I was painting this, I just went with it, and did start giggling. Thanks, Hez!
DeleteHi Karen, This gives new meaning to the term "wet bar". The bird does have a gull look about him, maybe a Bonaparte gull or something. I am enjoying watching your daily paintings; they're inspiring and fun!
ReplyDeleteLove that title, Wet Bar. Next time! Love your guesses about the type of bird it is. I'll never tell.... :)
DeleteLove the olives in the background and the black behind them to make them really stand out!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nans!
