Day 13- 30 paintings in 30 Days

"Classy Lady"
Finally, I'm ahead of the game.  I finished my second painting for the day and am so excited about this one.  It's a real stretch for me.  A breakthrough painting.  I love stylized paintings, and keeping it as simple as possible.  This painting took a long time, because I masked out all the lights and then poured on the reds.  I actually painted with masking fluid, which took over an hour to apply.  If you look back to the painting,  "Dreamer", you'll see that this is the same lady, but I wanted to have a more dramatic effect this time.  There are things that I will do differently next time, but overall, I'm happy with the results.

  4. I love the drama of the red, white and black, although I really like "Dreamer" also. Such totally different feelings from each of them.
